Since we’ve opened, we’ve been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time, through martial arts, education and coaching. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all students and family members. Professor Pittman
Professor Pittman started his martial arts training at the age of 6. Beginning with Karate and Tae Kwon Do Mr. Pittman achieved a 3rd degree black belt and started his own Academy at age 17. Mr. Pittman was introduced to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by Royler Gracie, brother of the very famous Royce Gracie, at a seminar on the benefits of training in this “new” art.
Mr. Pittman quickly became a dedicated student of BJJ and started training directly under world renowned Professor Carlos Machado, who is a cousin and prominent member of the Gracie Family. Mr. Pittman is now the highest ranking American student training under Mr. Machado. Professor Pittman, a 6th degree black belt, has shown lifelong dedication to the art, his instructors, and above all, his students.

Mr. Preidis
Mr. Preidis has dedicated over 10 years to training in Pittman Jiu-Jitsu. His leadership journey began early, as he started training and becoming instructor certified as a teenager. He earned his black belt in 2024, and is working diligently towards his 2nd degree. This advanced rank signifies his status as an experienced instructor and dedicated practitioner within the Academy. He is considered by his peers to be one of the Academy’s best instructors, known for his emphasis on helping students and their families learn and grow together.
Mr. Cambron
Mr. Cambron embarked on his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2017 while serving as a United States Army Infantryman, cultivating resilience and strategic thinking on the mats. After an honorable exit from military service, he seamlessly transitioned his dedication to Pittman’s Academy of Martial Arts, swiftly ascending to the role of instructor in July 2023. His unwavering commitment saw him earn his first-degree black belt in the summer of 2024. Now, as one of the academy’s head instructors, he channels his passion into serving the community, enriching the lives of his students and their families by meticulously mentoring them in the profound art of Pittman Jiu-Jitsu.
